You have full control of the disposition of your legally owned specimens1. If you would like to terminate storage, we have a few options for you.
Storage Termination Options:
Elect to discard
TMRW will send you a Disposition Request for you to sign and notarize. Once this is completed, TMRW’s team will execute your decision to remove your specimens from storage and permanently discard them.
Elect to donate specimens to another individual or family
There are various state and federal legal requirements to donate your specimens to an individual or family. A licensed and authorized donor agency and/or an attorney specializing in fertility donation can help you execute a legal agreement to donate your specimens to another individual or family for the purpose of attempting pregnancy. Once you have completed necessary legal requirements for donation and send us the relevant documentation as well as an instruction to transfer the ownership of the specimens, TMRW can execute the legal instructions to transfer the ownership of the specimens to the receiving party or donor agency as specified in the instructions provided by you.
Elect to donate specimens to research or training
If you choose to donate your specimens to research or training the process typically involves signing legal consent forms and selecting a legally authorized research program or training program. Once you’ve identified a legally authorized research or training facility or a clinic and signed a necessary form instructing TMRW to transfer your specimens to such research or training facility or a clinic, TMRW can execute such transfer.
1 TMRW will not discard specimens received for storage from any patient located in Alabama or Louisiana, regardless of whether the patient provides authorization to do so. If you reside in Alabama or Louisiana and wish to discard a specimen in storage with TMRW, you must arrange to have your specimens transferred to a licensed physician or fertility clinic that has agreed to execute your discard request.
